The jewelry draped on the models at fashion designer Kim Ovitz's Fall 2013 collection was produced by a 3D printer. Growing in popularity, 3D printers allow for small manufactured runs ( as small as 1) of items. All you need is a design and some 3D rendering know how.
Ovitz's pieces were created in partnership with the company Shapeways, a 3D printing marketplace and community. The collection is for sale on Shapeways website here:

Ware-able Art
Emma Ware left a career in Film and TV for a creative outlet she learned while still a child. Using rubber from bicycle inner tubes and chain she creates sculptural, soft moveable pieces that are more work of art than mere jewelry.
More pieces can be found for purchase here http://boticca.com/ware/all/#pieces
Or visit the artist at her website http://www.emmaware.co.uk/index.htm

Masterpiece of Craftmanship
As much as we admire luxury goods we may forget the craftmanship that goes into each piece. Here is a video featuring the creation of a Salvatore Ferragamo handbag.

Bespoke Shoes
For those who always wanted to learn to make shoes but don't have courses available nearby, this blog is for you.
http://handmadeshoes.wordpress.com/
Marcell Mrsan is a certified Master Shoemaker who teaches at Savannah College of Art and Design. He is also the owner of Koronya Handmade Shoes & Boots. He is offering free online courses for shoemaking. The first course starts soon and will be a pair of leather flip flops. May seem simple enough but everyone has to start somewhere.
A list of supplies and places available throughout the world to attain them will be posted before the course begins.
Happy shoemaking!

Spring Catwalks- Anna Sui
Anna Sui's Spring 2013 collection is romantically punk. Girly meets grit in the way only Sui can pull off.
Beautiful chintz prints mixed with leopard and pops of cobalt blue colored the stage. Adorning the clothing were skeleton cameos, tortoise jewelry and cotton candy colored hair for the models. My favorites? The blue heart kitten heels and the studded sandal wedges. The kitten ear hat, not so bad either.

Spring Catwalks- Alexander McQueen
Yes, Fashion Weeks NY, London, Paris and Milan were a couple of weeks ago, but I'm just getting time to breath.
Alexander McQueen, whose catwalk was buzzing, almost literally as Burton took her bee inspiration to every level. Loving all the footwear, nipped in waists and the return to eroticism.
