Balenciaga S/S 12
Nicolas Ghesquiere's collection for Balenciaga was all about shape. Accessories followed the same dynamic but where the handbags were more utilitarian the shoes were all drama.

Rick Owens S/S 12
White, black and shades of grey was the main color theme of Rick Owens' Spring collection. No surprise, but he did throw in a bit of rust to shake things up. His pieces were the usual directional play with geometry, but I was more interested in the shoes.
Those space age silver uber wedge sandals are calling my name.

Mugler S/S 12
Mugler's SS 12 collection is a study in futuristic minimalism with a scissor happy pattern maker. The accessories were kept to a very bare minimum but they had quite a visual impact. With their needle width stilettos, it was amazing the models made it down the runway.
There weren't any other accessories except for this.
I don't know what it is, but I have to have one.

Surreal Free Spirit
Mania Mania's Third Mind Collection continues this Australian duos twisted pop culture fantasies in lust worthy adornments. Their beautiful ad campaign
gives a nod to surrealism.
And some of my favorite pieces from the collection.

Erdem S/S 12
Fashion week has jumped the pond as in now in full swing in London.
Erdem's collection for Spring 2012 featured florals and my favorite warm weather fabric-lace.
That boater hat is my fave.
All the lace suited the dreamy blue florals of the collection perfectly. However, I'm inclined to goth my lace up.

Betsey Johnson S/S 12
Wonderfully wild as usual, Betsey's girls went down the runway like dolls in their best bedroom outfits. The fierce accessories were a great juxtaposition against all the lace and frills.

Rodarte S/S 12
The Mulleavy Sisters have done it again. Bringing us a collection equal parts kitsch and modern with their interpretation of Van Gogh's The Starry Night. However, this blog is dedicated to accessories so we won't be looking at the beautiful prints. No worries, the shoes didn't disappoint.

Anna Sui S/S 2012
She's one of my all time favorite designers with her boho rocker flair and gift for vintage done modern and she did not disappoint with her most recent collection. Anna was channeling Club Sept from 70's Paris but I kept seeing hints of Betsey Johnson's girls. But it doesn't really matter as I love both designers alike.
The accessories were killer. The shoes were drool worthy with chunky heels, colorful palettes and sequins that were too glamorous to be mistaken for sweet.
Equally covetable were the playful jewelry and vintage inspired hats.
Summer is just ending, but I can't wait for Spring 2012.

Cynthia Rowley S/S 12
Okay, this post has nothing to do with Rowley's new line. Instead it has to do with Alexa Chung showing up at the Cynthia Rowley fashion show in the most currently coveted shoes from Mui Mui.
I admire Alexa for her quirky style and her great taste in footwear. But considering these shoes are high on many a fashionistas' want list, I don't doubt we will catch a few in them at this week's NY Fashion Week. I myself am partial to the pink ones.

Fashion's Night Out
Last night I took part in Fashion's Night Out with a few partners in fashion.
We traipsed around Los Angeles spotting celebrities, (Jennifer Tilly in some awesome stilleto YSL's) and attended a pretentious party at Phillip Lim but ended up at Christian Louboutin's Robertson's boutique where the vibe was awesome and the participants were fun and the music was good and loud.
More pictures to come later.

Lay Your Hands On Me
A little spooky and definitely gothic, this belt from Delfina Deletrrez is creepily humorous. Maybe a little early for Halloween, but I couldn't wait to post.
