The jewelry draped on the models at fashion designer Kim Ovitz's Fall 2013 collection was produced by a 3D printer. Growing in popularity, 3D printers allow for small manufactured runs ( as small as 1) of items. All you need is a design and some 3D rendering know how.
Ovitz's pieces were created in partnership with the company Shapeways, a 3D printing marketplace and community. The collection is for sale on Shapeways website here:
